We thought of you today, but that is nothing new.
We thought of you yesterday, and will tomorrow too.
We think of you in silence, and make no outward show,
For what it meant to lose you only those who love you know
Remembering you is easy, we do it everyday
It’s the heartache of losing you that never goes away.
When links of love are broken and the love ones has to part,
It leaves a wound that never heals, and an ever aching heart.
When families get together, there’s one we do not see.
It fills our hearts with sadness thinking how it used to be.
We talk about old times, and though we smile the same.
It hurts deep inside us, when someone speaks your name.
So we all have our memories, from which we will never part.
God has you in his keeping. We have you in our hearts.
