HOLLAND, BLAINE M. - 1951 – 2014 - Miramichi – Blaine Martin Holland, husband of Dawn (Taylor) Holland, of the Point Aux Carr Road, passed away at the Saint John Regional Hospital on Wednesday, April 2nd, 2014 at the age of 62. Born in Chatham, NB on August 23rd, 1951, he was the son of Marion (MacNaughton) and the late Arthur Holland. He was a Painter by profession for 40 years. He was Presbyterian by faith.
He is survived by his mother: Marion, Black River; one daughter: Jo-Anne (John McKay), Upper Black River; one daughter in law: Angie Walsh, Upper Black River; five sisters: his twin sister, Brenda Watling, Upper Black River; Diane Wilson, Glenwood; Helen Pauls (Fred), Calgary, Alberta; Donna Holland, Ontario; Sally Perry (Bill), North Sydney, NS; three brothers: Vernon MacDonald (Shirley), Keswick Ridge, NB; Keith Holland (Ida), Miramichi; Freddie Holland, Nowlanville; two grandchildren: Tiffany and Travis Holland; as well as several nieces, nephews and cousins. He was predeceased by his father: Arthur; son: Kevin; his brother in laws: Gerald Watling and David Wilson.
Visitation will be held at Adams Funeral Home Ltd., 140 King Street, Miramichi, on Friday, April 4th, 2014 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9pm. Funeral service will be held from Adams Funeral Home Chapel on Saturday, April 5th, 2014 at 2pm with Penny Postlethwaite officiating, assisted by Rev. Derek Krunys. Interment will be in the Black River Community Cemetery later in the spring. As expressions of sympathy, donations to the IWK Hospital, Kidney Foundation, or Heart and Stroke Foundation would be appreciated by the family.
