Leslie Frederick Day

55, of Harbourville, Kings County, Nova Scotia, passed away peacefully, surrounded by the love of his wife, Friday, January 25, 2008 at home, following a lengthy illness. Born in Markland, Newfoundland, he was a son of Mary Ann (Cameron) Day, Old Shop, Newfoundland and the late William Day. He is survived by his loving wife, Julia; three sisters: Rosemary (George) Farrell, Marystown, Newfoundland; Linda (Cyril) Piercey, Norman's Cove, Newfoundland; Doreen (John) Hutchings, Whitbourne, Newfoundland; three brothers: Lewis (Ann), New Harbour, Newfoundland; John, Sudbury, Ontario; Winston (Jean), Old Shop; several nieces and nephews. Cremation has taken place under the direction of the White Family Funeral Home, Kentville, Nova Scotia and there will be no visitation by family request. The funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, January 30, 2008 in the Salvation Army Citadel, New Harbour, Newfoundland, Major Blackler officiating. To honour Leslie's love for animals, donations in memory may be made to the Kings County S.P.C.A. Shelter Fund or any animal shelter.
