Peacefully at the Western Hospital with her loving family by her side on Thursday, Dec. 18, 2008, of Rhoda Maureen Hazlett-Skerry, beloved wife and companion of John Joseph (Joe) Skerry of Northport age 75 years. Born in Liverpool, N.S., on July 3, 1933, she was the daughter of the late John and Avis (nee Sauler Hazlett). Loving mother to Suzanne (Fred) Shroedter Donna (Doug) Richards, Daniel (Tracy) McDonald, Maureen (Jay) Cohan, Elizabeth (Bernie) McDonald, Stephen (Pam) McDonald, Lenord McDonald, Lynn (Paul) Byrne. She will be sadly missed by her 19 grandchildren as well as great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren. Dear sister to Flossie, Jackie, Joan, Johnny, Vincent, Margie, Walter, Linda, Lillis, Clyde, Wayne, Borden, Diane, Margaret, Claudia, Oscar. Resting at the Rooney Funeral Home Alberton. No visiting hours by personal request. A memorial service for family and close friends to be held at a later date.
