The death occurred at the Prince County Hospital, Summerside, on Saturday, Dec. 20, 2008, of Eva Nicholson, of Green Street, Summerside, aged 90 years. Born in Summerside, she was the daughter of the late Daniel and Louise (Poirier) Gallant. Survived by her children Michael (Lynn), Summerside; Anne (Ron Wood), Montreal; Joy McCallum, Halifax, N.S.; six grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; a sister Una Gallant, Bedford, N.S.; brothers Verno (Phyllis), Wellington; and Ulrich, Saint John, N.B. Predeceased by her husband Ivan Nicholson; granddaughter Pierrette Beaubien; and by a brother Charles Gallant. Resting at the Moase Funeral Home, Summerside, where funeral service will be held on Tuesday at 2 p.m. Interment later in Peoples Cemetery, Summerside. Visiting hours Monday from 7-9 p.m. only. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to the Prince County Hospital Foundation would be appreciated.
