It is with heartfelt sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved mother, grandmother, aunt and friend, Annie Catherine MacDonald, age 84, of Upper Washabuck on Mar 30, 2014 at Victoria County Memorial Hospital.
Born in Gillis Point, Annie C was the daughter of the late James Allan and Mary Elizabeth MacNeil.
She is survived by her daughters Elizabeth (Gregory) MacNeil, and Margaret Ann (Shawn) MacInnis and her pride and joy; her grandchildren Trevor, Jamie Anne, John Ross and Emily as well as many nieces and nephews. Special thanks to Bernadette and Rosaire for always being there when we needed them.
Annie was predeceased by husband, Angus and son Johnnie; as well as her brothers Columba, Michael Allan, Roderick, and Donald and her sister Mary Ann.
The family would like to express our sincerest thanks to the doctors, nurses and all the staff at the Victoria County Memorial Hospital for their dedicated care of mom during her illness. Also many thanks to Fr. Callistus and Fr. Paul for their visits with mom in the hospital.
Memorial donations can be made to the Holy Rosary Cemetery Fund or charity of your choice.
Funeral service will be held on Saturday, April 12 at 2 p.m. at St. Columba Church, Iona with Fr. Paul Abbass officiating. Burial will be at Holy Rosay Cemetery, Washabuck following the funeral service. Funeral arrangements under the care and direction of MacAskill Funeral Home.
