Scott, Jeanne Marion (nee Jenkins) – On April 5, 2014, Jeanne Marion Scott (nee Jenkins) completed her life's journey at Truro, Nova Scotia. Predeceased by Ken, her spouse of 63 years. Beloved mother of Barry (Sue), Janet (Jerry) and Jill (Henry). Predeceased by her grandchildren, Gordon and Carolyn, and by her brother, John Marley. Jeanne was the much loved grandmother of Sherri (Chad), Rob (Jen), Scott (Kim), Katie, Erin (Anastasia), Neill, Meggie (Matthew), Laura and Emma (Don), and great-grandmother of Gordon, Krista, Nathan, Amber, Ryan, Faith, Sadie, Mattie, Rylan, Caden, Sayler, Harlan and Garrison. She is survived by her brother, Peter Marley. Jeanne was an English war bride who bravely made the move to Canada with her infant son in 1946. She and Barry travelled aboard the Queen Mary to Halifax's Pier 21, and then by train to Toronto, where they were reunited with Ken. Jeanne and Ken lived in Toronto for the next 56 years before making another brave move to Parkland Estates in Truro, NS. Jeanne will be greatly missed by her family and friends, both far and near. Many thanks to the staff of Parkland Estates and to the Earth Angels, who cared for Mum in such a gracious manner. There will be a gathering of friends at Kaulback Hall, St. John's Anglican Church, Truro, Tuesday April 8th, 6:30-8:30pm.
