Passed peacefully away at her daughter's home surrounded by her loving family on Friday, April 4th, 2014 following eight years exemplifying courage in her battle with breast cancer. Patricia was born in Buchans on May 7, 1949, grew up in Harbour Main and lived and worked in Holyrood. Patricia loved her family and friends with all of her heart. She was resilient, had the greatest laugh and sense of humor, and was deeply spiritual. She loved music and dancing, traveling, long walks, and being in nature where ever the sun was shining. Patricia has been called home to be with her parents Gertrude & Gregory Dalton, sisters: Kathleen Vardy, Mary Alexius Kennedy, Isabelle Walsh and Beverly Woodford. Patricia will be forever loved and honored by her greatest source of strength and pride, daughter Kimberley (Joy) Babineau and husband Diego, son Keith Joy (partner Connie Lewis) and their father Jim Joy, special sisters: Barb Penney (Kevin), Madonna Hawco (Gordon), Sheila Costigan (Bill), Peggy Bath (Charley), Sharon Butt (Reg), two brothers, Gregory and Derrick, brothers in laws, nieces and nephews, extended family and many friends. Patricia is resting at Dunphy's Funeral Home on Sunday, April 6th from 2pm to 9pm and Monday, April 7th from 2pm to 9pm with funeral mass at Holy Cross Church at 10am on April 8th.
