TRENTON - Charles William “Bill” Brooker Jr., 57, Trenton, passed away Monday, April 7, 2014 in the Aberdeen Hospital, New Glasgow surrounded by his family.
Born in New Glasgow, he was a son of the late Charles William and Marjorie Isabella (Charlton) Brooker. Bill had been employed with Michelin Tire for the past two years, previously having been employed with the former Trenton Works and in construction. He was a member of Christ the King Roman Catholic Church, Trenton. Bill enjoyed playing pool, hockey, hunting and fishing. He was a loving husband, father, brother, uncle, nephew and friend, who will be sadly missed by all that loved him, including his canine friend, Sophie.
Surviving are his wife of 32 years, Barbara Alice (Kenny); sons, William “Bill” and Matthew “Matt”, at home; sisters, Debbie (Mike) Hughes and Donna (Robert) Fraser, Trenton; brothers, Milton “Mal” (Loretta), Trenton; Joey, Riverton; Steven, Pictou Landing; sister-in-law, Stacia Jordan, New Glasgow; several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins. The family will receive visitors 6-8 p.m. Thursday in P. & K. MacDonald Funeral Home, New Glasgow from where funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Friday in the chapel with Father Gary MacPherson presiding.
