The death occurred suddenly at home on Friday April 4, 2014 of Lawrence J. Doucette of Pleasant View aged 79 years. Beloved husband of Dolores Doucette nee Batherson. He was born in Pleasant View on April 2, 1935, the son of the late Middie and Lucy Doucette. Dear father to Glenn (Eleanor) Doucette, Edmonton, AB; Paul (Alice) Doucette, Edmonton, AB; Debbie Doucette, Camrose, AB; David (Debra) Doucette, Hay Lake, AB; Diane Doucette, Pleasant View; James Doucette, Toe Field, AB and Lisa (Ray) Howarth, Hinton, AB. Loving grandfather to Jason, Melissa, Jessica, Ashley, Emily, Mitchell, Adam, Erin, Amy, Bradley, Alex, Daniel, Breah and great-grandfather to Alex, Mason, Charley, Ryland and Bhaya. He is also survived by brothers and sisters Edna (late Andrew) Jones, S’Side; Freddie (late Joan) Doucette, Pleasant View; Wilfred (Eileen) Doucette, S’Side; Arthur (Ada) Doucette, Pleasant View; Evelyn (late Ronald) Myers, Pleasant View; Lucille (Francis) Richard; St. Louis and (late Melvin) Julia Doucette, Pleasant View. He was predeceased by his parents Middie and Lucy, son Donnie, son-in-law David Pittman and in-laws Alexander and Flora Batherson. Resting at the West Prince Funeral Home 522 Thompson Road.
