March 31, 1919 - April 6, 2014: After a long and happy journey Jerry entered peacefully into eternal life with his heavenly father on Sunday, April 6, 2014 at the Health Sciences Center. He was born the youngest of seven boys and three girls to John and Mary Joe (Everard) Doyle of Petty Harbour. In 1950 Jerry married the love of his life, Mary (Tucker) of St. Philip's. Together they opened their hearts and home to family and friends, making all feel welcome. He loved nothing more than visits, phone calls and gatherings with family and friends, his 95th birthday on Monday past being no exception. Jerry's infant daughter, parents, all siblings and many other family members have gone before him. Left to celebrate his life are his loving and devoted wife of 63 years Mary; brother-in-law William Tucker; sister-in-law Audrey Tucker, numerous special nieces and nephews, special friends of Summerville Plaza and many other relatives and friends - all who held their own special place in his heart. Resting at Caul's Funeral Home, LeMarchant Road. Family visitation on Tuesday, April 8 from 7-9pm. General visitation on Wednesday, April 9 from 2-4pm and 7-9pm. Mass of Christian burial Thursday, April 10, 2014 at 1:15 pm at St. Pius X Parish, Smithville Crescent. Inurnment at Mt. Carmel Cemetery to take place at a later date. Flowers gratefully accepted or donations to a charity of one's choice.
