MURPHY, Joan Virginia– 1944-2008. Passed peacefully away at the Health Sciences Centre on Wednesday, December 17th, 2008, surrounded by family and friends. Predeceased by her parents, Leo and Elizabeth Murphy, sister Betty and brother Leo Jr. Left with fond and loving memories, four sisters: Faye Freeman (Earl), California, Mary Marshall (Bill), Wisconsin, Sheila Wensley, Toronto and a special sister Marg Chiasson (Norm), St. John’s, who took great care of her; four brothers; Pat (Pats), St. John’s, Doug, BC, David, Edmonton and Gerald (Jeanette), St. John’s, also a large number of nieces, nephews and friends and special thanks to niece Sandra Chiasson for all her help and the nurses and staff at the Health Sciences Centre, 5NA. Resting at Caul’s Funeral Home, LeMarchant Road. Visitation Thursday from 2 p.m. - 9 p.m. and Friday from 10 a.m. - 9 p.m. Funeral Mass on Saturday, December 20th at 9:30 a.m. from St. Patrick’s Church. Cremation to follow.
