Royal Navy Veteran, November 5, 1922 - April 14, 2014 - Passed peacefully away at the Caribou Veterans Pavilion, Denis McCarthy of Bellevue. Predeceased by his wife, Rose (Rosie) (1999) son Robert (2005) granddaughter Melissa (2000), parents John and Josephine, brothers Sylvester and Ted, sister Philomena, special sister-in-law Pearl. Leaving to mourn his loving partner of thirteen years and guardian angel Kay Taylor, his daughters, Doreen (Dave Thorne), Bellevue: Trudy (Art Power), Mount Pearl, Pauline (Ron Power), Sunnyside, Debbie (Tony Soro), West Kelowna, BC; his sons: Larry, West Kelowna, BC; Gordon (Jackie), Bellevue, Derrick (Marie), Bellevue, Duane (Kelly). Torbay; stepson Tom Peters (Navi), Windsor, ON, his sisters; Theresa (St. John's), Nellie (Placentia). Also leaving 16 grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren, and a large circle of nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends. A special thank you to the staff at the Caribou Veterans Pavilion who treated Dad so well during his time there. He spoke so fondly of all of you. Resting at Holloway's Funeral Home.
