ROBICHAUD, LÉONA - 1925 - 2014 - Léona Robichaud, 88, of Sainte-Marie-de-Kent, passed away peacefully, surrounded by her family, at the DR G L Dumont UHC, on Monday April 14, 2014. She was married to the late Antoine Robichaud. Born in Saint-Antoine, she was the daughter of the late Francois and the late Zita (Allain) Melanson. She will be sadly missed by her children; Odette Robichaud (Jean-Guy Poirier) of Sainte-Marie-de-Kent, Rosée Melanson (Norman) of Athol, MA, Valérie (Ida) of Sainte-Marie-de-Kent, Yvon of Cocagne and Donald of Moncton, her grandchildren; Eugene, Denise, Ann, Marcel, Gilles, Paul, Susan, Rachel and Rayna, fifteen great-grandchildren and five great-great-grandchildren. She also leaves to mourn a sister, Léda Maillet of Saint-Antoine, a brother, Clarence Melanson (Simonne) of Lancaster, MA and several nieces and nephews. Léona was predeceased by a daughter, Adrienne, a granddaughter, Diane, a great-grandson, Luc, three sisters; Hélène, Yvonne and Azelie and four brothers; John, Antoine, Irois and Ernest.
Visitations will be held in the Notre-Dame du Mont-Carmel Roman Catholic Church Slumber Room, in Sainte-Marie-de-Kent, on Wednesday, April 16, 2014 from 7 to 9 and on Thursday from 2 to 3:45pm. Funeral Mass will be held in the Notre-Dame du Mont-Carmel Church on Thursday, April 17, 2014 at 4:00pm. Interment will be in the parish cemetery at a later date. In Léona’s memory a donation can be made to the DR G-L-Dumont UHC Foundation or to the Notre-Dame du Mont-Carmel Parish Fund.
