Gordon White
WHITE, GORDON - It is with great sadness the family announces the passing of Gordon Elmore White which occurred on Monday, April 15 2014 at Manor St. Jude Care Home. Gordon was born in White Settlement, Nova Scotia on July 10, 1942 to the late Gordon and Blanche (Barron) White. Throughout his life, Gordon shared a sincere love for horse racing. He spent many years at the stables training and racing horses throughout the Maritimes and United States. He won numerous amounts of championships. Gordon was able to create a special bond with everyone that he had come to know throughout his life. He enjoyed long walks in the outdoors and had a strong love of Tim Horton's. Gordon is survived by his daughter; Heidi White (Shauna Gallagher) of Saint John, New Brunswick, six brothers; Manson (Nancy), Melvin (Debbie), Vernon (Faye), Elbert (Janet), Colin (Cindy), Brenton (Ellen) all of Nova Scotia, three sisters; Ivena (Brian) MacLeese, Alda (Ernie) McCarthy both of Nova Scotia and Florence (Marty) Rostin of Fredericton, NB. Gordon is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews. The family would like to express their thanks to the staff of Manor St. Jude Care Home for their compassionate care throughout Gordon's stay.
Arrangements are under the care of Fundy Funeral Home, 230 Westmorland Road (646-2424). Although there will be no formal visitation or funeral service, family and friends are invited to attend a celebration of Gordon's life which will be held at the Royal Canadian Legion Branch 69 (714 Wilson Street) on Tuesday, April 22 2014 at 1:00PM.
