We, the family of the late Gordon Hardy wish to express our heartfelt thanks to everyone who supported our family during our recent loss. Thank you to all who visited, prepared food, phoned, sent emails, sympathy cards, donated memorials as well as those who travelled great distances to be with us. Thank you to the Royal Canadian Legion Br.# 105, Ingonish and Cape Breton Naval Veterans Association for their beautiful services at the funeral home, and the Royal Canadian Legion members of Bell Isle, Nfld who tolled the ship bell of the SS Rose Castle, in honour of shipmate Hardy. Many thanks to Rev. Carolyn Sharp for her inspirational service, along with readers Kelvin Hussey, Gordon Rideout and Crucifer, Katelynn March. Many thanks to pallbearers and honorary pallbearers and St. John’s ACW who prepared a lovely lunch. Lastly, the family wishes to thank Fillmore and Whitman for their professionalism.
