In the presence of his loving family, Bernard Roy Peckford passed away at Capital Care Lynnwood in Edmonton, Alberta on Monday, April 7, 2014 at the age of 83. Predeceased by his wife, Barbara (Bob), his brother Bruce and son-in-law Jerry Squires. Left with beautiful memories are his children, Sharon (Bill Mayne), Bernard (Elaine), Sheila (Cyril Terry), David, and Patricia. Also left to mourn are grandchildren, Brian (Susan), Jill (Dennis), Deidre (Karl), & Paul (Brittany) Mayne, Kimberley Peckford-Bennett, Bernard, Colleen (John) & Jeffrey Terry, Lynn (Trevor) & Laura (Adam) Squires, and Kareem Ismail, and great-grandchildren Sarah, Brooke, Sophia, and Noah. He also leaves three sisters, Joan, Katina, and Pam, brother, Eddie, and their families, as well as many loved nieces and nephews. Many thanks to the amazing staff at BASU, Lynnwood for the wonderful care that they provided our Dad. The funeral will be conducted in the first week of May in Buchans where he worked with ASARCO and lived for most of his life. Interment at the Buchans' Community Cemetery next to his wife, Bob.
