Dennis MacNeil
MacNEIL, DENNIS J. W. - 1951 - 2014 - Dennis MacNeil of Prosser Brook, passed away on Friday, April 18, 2014 at The Dr. Georges L. Dumont University Hospital with his loving family at his side. Born in Toronto, he was the son of the late Thomas and Mary (McVeigh) MacNeil. Dennis retired from Auto Haul Away following 32 years service. He was a member and former 1st Vice President of the Royal Canadian Legion, Branch #41, Petitcodiac and the 1st Vice President of the Air Cadet League of Canada, NB Committee where he had serves as chairman on two occasions. He is survived by his loving wife, Susan Murray, daughters; Connie Xidos (George) of Halifax, Crista Wood of Petitcodiac, son, Troy Williams of Miramichi, sister, Mary Hitchock (Michael) of Georgetown, ON, brothers; Terry (Darlene) of Port Sydney, ON, Kelly (Wendy) of Innisfil, ON and Thomas of Brampton, ON, five grandchildren; Sheila, Eva, Katelyn, Julia and Adam, his mother-in-law, Anna Murray of Riverview, sisters-in-law; Della Tower (Terry) of Riverview and Glendine Hicks (Scott) of Prosser Brook, brothers-in-law; Terry Murray of Moncton and Peter Steeves (Ann) of Turtle Creek, as well as several nieces and nephews. Besides his parents he was predeceased by a sister, Cathy MacNeil.
The family will be receiving relatives and friends at Cobb’s Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 330 Whitepine Road, Riverview (869-2007) on Monday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 PM, with the Royal Canadian Legion Branch #41 holding a memorial service from the funeral home at 6:30 PM. The funeral service will take place from Cobb’s Funeral Home Memorial Chapel on Tuesday, April 22, 2014 at 2:00 PM, with Pastor Leonard Geldart officiating. The interment will take place at the Prosser Brook Cemetery at a later date. Donations to The Kidney Foundation or the Palliative Care Unit of The Dr. Georges L.
