LOSIER, PETER E. G. - 1937 - 2014 - Miramichi - Peter Edward George Losier, husband of Georgina M. Losier, of the Weldfield Collette Road, Napan, passed away at the Miramichi Regional Hospital, on 19th of April, 2014, at the age of 77. Born in Chatham, on February 24, 1937, he was the son of the late Frank and Winnifred (Bennett) Losier. He was a retired member of the Canadian Armed Forces and served as a Peacekeeper in Cyprus. He was a recipient of the Nobel Peacekeeping Medal; a retired employee of the Hotel Dieu Hospital, working in the Maintenance Dept. Peter was well known for his beautiful vegetable gardens year after year. He was a former Director with the Napan Agricultural Show; a former member of Rogersville Branch of the Royal Canadian Legion. He attended St. Michaels Basilica, Miramichi. He is survived by his wife, the former Georgina M. Caissie; two daughters, Joanne Jardine (Edgar), of Weldfield Collette Road and Jacqueline Cuperovic (Nick), of Milton, Ont.; two sons, Gerald Losier, of Edmonton, AB and Mike Losier, of Weldfield Collette Rd.; eight grandchildren, Stefani, Erica, Erin, Lauren, Kyle, Christina, Evan, James; one great-grandchild, Wyatt; three sisters, Sally McNeil (Mac), of Kentville, N.S., Dorothy Dempster (Doug), of Moncton and Patricia Budd (Norman), of Miramichi; three brothers, William (Laura), of Stratford, Ont., Charles (Olive), of Oshawa, Ont. and Jack Losier, of Hamilton, Ont. He was predeceased by two sisters, Francis Losier and Anne Issac; one brother, Chum Losier.
The public are invited to attend a memorial service to be held from Adams Funeral Home Chapel, on Wednesday, at 2 pm, conducted by Father John Fraser. A short visitation with the family will follow at the funeral home. As expressions of sympathy, donations to the "Roof That Jack Started" or the N.B. Lung Assoc., would be appreciated by the family.
