MacALLISTER, EXA - Exa Violet (MacLellan) MacAllister passed away at the Oromocto public Hospital on April 21, 2014. She was in her ninetieth year. She was born at Parker’s Ridge, NB on March 29th, 1924, daughter of George and Florence (Calhoun) MacLellan. She lived at Taxis River, N.B. the majority of her adult life. Exa is survived by her two children: Rita MacAllister (Winston) of Fredericton, NB and Vernon MacAllister (Sheila) of Hudson, PQ, four grandchildren: Euan MacAllister (Jodi) of Upper Kingsclear, Tanya MacAllister (Frank) of Perth, Ontario, Darren Daye of Ft. Saskatchewan, AB and Derek Daye (Penny) of Everett, Washington; and four great-grandchildren, Devon MacAllister, Alexandra Daye, Reagan Ball, and Fiona MacAllister and one great-great-grandaughter, Madison Daye. She is also survived by her cousin, Erma O’Donnell plus nieces and nephews. Exa was predeceased by here parents, her grandparents, John and Minnie (Lister) Calhoun and Davy and Mary (MacLeod) MacLellan, her husband, Arthur Willard Andrew MacAllister, her grand-daughter, Kelley Lynne Daye, her brother, Harold (Had) MacLellan, sisters, Hattie Billings, Minnie Goodine, Agnes Green and Merle Scott and her step-father, Frank McElwee. The family is appreciative beyond measure for the staff at the Farraline Home for their kindness, affection and the excellent care extended to Exa during her stay.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Chipman Funeral Home Ltd. (506-339-6612), Chipman, NB. Burial will take place at the St. Peter’s Anglican Church Cemetery in Boiestown in July. Www.chipmanfuneralhome.ca
