God has called our special angel Sharon Anne Hill into his arms. It is with great sadness that we, the family, announce the passing of our loving daughter, sister, niece, aunt and friend.
Sharon was loved by all who knew her and will be sadly missed by her mother Rose; brother Darrell 'Boo' (Peggy), Glace Bay; sisters, Colleen (Darrell) McNeil, Dominion, Andrea (Victor) Tobar, Toronto, Mary Rose (Daniel) Aucoin, New Waterford; sister-in-law Priscilla Hill; several aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews, whom she loved dearly; her special friend Alex Lee.
She is now reunited with her father John David; brothers Gary, Wilfred and Francis (in infancy).
Sharon enjoyed the simple pleasures in life, singing, dancing, colouring, bowling and playing cards. She also loved school in her younger days. Sharon passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family and caregivers while easing her way through her final journey at MacGillivary’s Guest Home.
She will always be our shiny star looking down on us and smiling at us all.
The family would like to extend our heartfelt thanks to the entire staff at MacGillvary’s Guest Home. You have all become Sharon’s second family and we know in our absence she was loved and treated like the princess she was. A special thanks to Fr Rankin for all his blessings.
Visitation will be on Wednesday, April 23, from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. at Curry’s Funeral Home, 775 Main St., Glace Bay. A funeral mass will be celebrated on Thursday, April 24 at 11 a.m. in Immaculate Conception Church, Bridgeport. The Rev Daniel Boudreau will be officiating.
