ROBERTS, Myron Allison – age 85, Sluice Point, Yarmouth Co., passed away on Friday, April 18, 2014 in Yarmouth Regional Hospital. Born July 14, 1928 in Argyle, he was a son of the late Ryland and Beulah (Roberts) Roberts. Myron was a jack-of-all-trades. He was a chef by trade, a profession he worked at in his younger years, after which he worked at various jobs. He loved bowling and playing cribbage and he was an avid outdoorsman, spending time planting and taking care of his vegetable garden, as well as hunting and fishing. He is survived by his children, Ricky Roberts (Yvette LeBlanc), Surette’s Island; Cindy (Dean) Shipp, Granville Ferry; Dianne Babin (Marty Bernard), Tusket; Valerie Adams (Kenneth Pothier), Yarmouth; Bonnie (Ben) Hubbard, Arcadia; Joan Roberts (Wesley Doucette), Pleasant Lake; Dawn Nickerson (Mike Jacquard), Yarmouth, as well as by ten grandchildren, three great grandchildren and six step-great grandchildren, and sisters, Iva Beauprie, Ontario and Roberta Swinimer, Yarmouth. Aside from his parents, he was predeceased by his wife, Pauline (Burke) Roberts; a grandson, Devin and a sister, Bessie, in childhood. Visitation took place from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m., Monday, with prayers at 8 p.m., both at H. M. Huskilson’s Funeral Home, 29 Albert Street, Yarmouth. The funeral mass was held at 10:30 a.m., Tuesday, April 22 at Holy Family Catholic Church, Amirault’s Hill, Father Maurice LeBlanc, CJM, officiated. Interment followed in the parish cemetery.
