RACINE, Mary E Racine (nee Bavis) July 19, 1937 - December 20, 2008 — Passed peacefully away at the Placentia Health Care Centre on December 20, 2008, surrounded by her loving family after a brave battle with cancer. Predeceased by her parents Anastasia and John Bavis and precious grandchild, Ronny Racine. Leaving to mourn her loving and devoted husband and best friend of 52 years, Ron, her five children, Ronny (Maureen) Jerseyside, John (Mary) Goulds, Margie (Ron) Ferndale, Jim (Bev) Placentia, and Janet (Tom) of Placentia. Her nine grandchildren whom she adored, Scott, Matthew, Emily, Stephen, Stephanie, Amy, Rhonda, Jennifer, Julie, and special friend Janet Edwards. Also a large circle of family and friends. Special thanks to the caring staff at the Dr. H Bliss Murphy Cancer Centre and the Placentia Health Care Centre. Resting at Maher’s Funeral Home, Placentia Sunday 7 to 9 p.m., Monday 2 to 5 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. Funeral mass to be held on Tuesday, December 23, 2008 at 11 a.m. at the Sacred Heart Church, Placentia.
