NEW GAIRLOCH – Judith Ann “Judy” Thomson, 67, New Gairloch, passed away peacefully, Wednesday, April 23, 2014 at home.
Born in Brantford, Ont., she was a daughter of Mary Edith (McLaughlin) (Nielsen) Farquhar and the late Valdimar Nielsen. Judy served as vice president of DTH Consulting and DKR Computers. She enjoyed painting and gardening, always exploring her artistic nature. Judy was an inspirational and loving wife, mother, daughter, grandmother, sister and aunt.
Surviving are her mother, Mary (Ken) Farquhar, London, Ont; husband, Don; daughter, Meagan (Ryan) Challand, Davis Junction, Illinois; sons, Kyle (Jessica), Westville; Ryan (Heather), Rocklin; grandchildren, Ashlynn and Ella Challand; Liam and Jack Thomson; nieces, Ursula, Alexandra, Niki, Jennifer and Leanne; nephews, Harrison and Scott.
Besides her father, she was predeceased by sister, Leslie Ager.
The family will receive visitors 6-8 p.m. Monday in P. & K. MacDonald Funeral Home, New Glasgow from where funeral service will be held 11 a.m. Tuesday in the chapel with Rev. Dr. Glen Matheson officiating.
