DOBSON, DOROTHY MAVIS - The passing of Dorothy Mavis (Palmer) Dobson of Taymouth, NB, wife of Kenneth Dobson, occurred on Sunday, April 27, 2014 at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Regional Hospital. Born on May 9, 1934 in Avery Portage, NB she was a daughter of the late Ernest and Janie Palmer. Dorothy was a member of Taymouth United Church. In addition to her husband, Dorothy is survived by her son, Jeffrey Dobson (Cara Greenlaw) of Grand Manan, NB; sister, Doris Whittingham (Tom); several nieces and nephews. Besides her parents, Dorothy was predeceased by her sisters, Cora, Lalah and Janette; brothers, Forest, Lawrence, Donald, Otto, Berne, George and John.
Visitation will take place at York Funeral Home, 302 Brookside Drive, Fredericton on Wednesday, April 30, 2014 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm. A Memorial Service will be held from York Funeral Home’s T. Gordon MacLeod Memorial Chapel on Thursday, May 1, 2014 at 2 pm with Rev. Franklin Curtis officiating. Interment will take place in Astle Community Cemetery at a later date.
