Surrounded by her loving family, Ivy Pearl Penney passed peacefully away on Friday, April 25th in her 94th year. Left to mourn with fond and loving memories are her children: Keith Penney, Kalvin Penney (Barbara), Betty Pike (Robert), Elaine Thorne (Ted), daughters-in-law: Margaret Penney, Mary Penney; grandchildren: Stephen Penney (Jillian), Jennifer Penney, Krista Penney (Kevin), Amanda Rose (Colin), Andrew Flynn (Cheryl), Michelle Penney (Chris), Matthew Penney, Tina Thorne (Tony), Samantha Thorne, Jim Pike (Barbara), Christine Gripton, Robert Pike, Elizabeth Pike, Melissa Pike, Peggy Pike, David Penney and Don Penney; 17 great grandchildren; 4 great great grandchildren; sister, Drucie Kelly; sister-in-law, Leona Brake; as well as a large number of nieces, nephews other relatives and many friends. She was predeceased by her husband George; son Jim; parents Walter and Elizabeth Brake; brothers and sisters: Dawson, Noble, Dorothy, Myrtle, John, Fred, Leslie, Gordon and Josephine. The funeral service will be held Monday, April 28th at 2:00 p.m. from Humber United Church, Clarence Street with Pastor Wendy Lowden officiating. As expressions of sympathy in lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to the Humber United Church/Humber Road Cemetery Fund, or a charity of ones choice.
