Paul-Emile Leger
LEGER, PAUL-EMILE - 1939 - 2014 - Paul-Emile Leger, 74, of Pointe-du-Chêne and formerly of Gaspé St., Dieppe, NB, passed away on Tuesday, April 29th, 2014 at the Dr. Georges-L.-Dumont University Hospital Center. Born in Dieppe, NB, he was the son of the late Henry and the late Alice (née: Hebert) Leger. Prior to retirement, Paul-Emile had been employed as a firefighter for the City of Dieppe, with over 32 years of service. He was a member of the Fire Fighters Association. He is survived by one daughter, Lise (Louis) Ringuette of Grand-Falls; two sons: Christopher (Judy) and Eugene (Ann), both of Dieppe; three sisters: Rachel (Laurie) Melanson of Holliston, Mass, Lucille (Roger) Babin of Shediac and Anne-Marie (Ovila) LeBlanc of Waltham, Mass; one brother, Harvey (Olive) of Greater Lakeburn; two sisters-in-law: Annette Leger of Waltham, Mass and Rose Leger of Moncton; ten grandchildren: Tommy, Nancy, Tiffany, Elissa, Sasha, Karl, Tanya, Christopher, Natasha and Ashley; nine great-grandchildren: Craig, Austin, Morgan, Grayden, Serina, Julie, Faith, Nathyana, Natisha, the much anticipated Carter, arriving in one month, as well as several nieces and nephews who all held a special place in his heart. He will also be missed by his faithful companion Patches. Besides his parents, he was predeceased by his wife, Yvonne in 2012 and also by two brothers: Robert and Donald.
Visitation will be held from the Chartersville Funeral Home, 363 Amirault Street, Dieppe, NB (857-1901) on Sunday from 2 to 4 pm and 7 to 9 pm.
Funeral service will be celebrated from Ste Therese Roman Catholic Church, Dieppe, NB on Monday, May 5th, 2014 at 11 am. Interment at the Chartersville Funeral Home Columbarium, Dieppe, NB. Donations to the CHU Dumont Hospital Foundation would be appreciated by the family. www.chartersville.com
