IRVING, KAREN E. - 1943 - 2014 - Miramichi - Karen Elizabeth Irving, wife of Fred G. Irving, of King George Highway, Miramichi, passed away at the Miramichi Regional Hospital, on Wednesday, April 30, 2014, at the age of 70. Born in Halifax, N.S., on December 19, 1943, she was the daughter of the late Ephriam W. and Catherine E. (Isenor) Hughes. She was a homemaker and a retired employee of Canada Post Corp.; a member of St. Andrews Anglican Church, Miramichi. She is survived by her husband, Frederick G. Irving; three sons, Robert W. (Kathy), of Summerside, PEI, Stephen J. (Katherine), of Miramichi and Anthony E. (Heather), of Sandy Hook, Conn., USA; one sister, Edith Belivar (David), of Halifax, N.S.; one brother, Gordon Hughes (Georgina), of Stellerton, N.S.; five grandchildren, Emily , Brittney, Sarah, Richard, Melissa.
Visiting will be at Adams Funeral Home Ltd., on Sunday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm. Funeral service will be held from Adams Funeral Home Chapel on Monday, May 5, 2014, at 2 pm, conducted by Rev. Richard Steeves. Interment will be in Moorefield Cemetery, later in the spring. As expressions of sympathy donations to Moorefield Cemetery Fund or a charity of the donors' choice would be appreciated by the family.
