STEEN, RONALD "RON" MALCOLM - 1942 - 2014 - Ron Steen of Riverview passed away on Saturday, May 3, 2014. Born in Montreal, he was the son of the late Malcolm and Dorothy Steen (Caldwell). Ron was in the steel industry for several years in Ontario, prior to moving to the Maritimes where he had been employed with Crane Supply in Moncton and Lorchem Industries in Halifax. He attended and actively served at Lower Coverdale Baptist Church and was an avid bridge player and lawn bowler. Though we grieve, we are certainly not without hope. Ron loved the Lord with all his heart, mind and strength. He has received his reward and rest with Jesus now. He will be dearly missed by daughters Kolleen (Derek) Frauzel of Ottawa, ON; Kim Steen of Riverview; son Kevin (Jody) also of Riverview; grandchildren Cole, Robin, Abigail and Madeline; brothers Donald (Ruth) of Mississauga, ON; Douglas (Marianne) of Bolton, ON; several nieces and nephews, as well as his four-legged buddy, Cody. Besides his parents, Ron was predeceased by his twin, Russell, and another brother, William.
The family will be receiving friends and relatives at Cobb’s Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 330 Whitepine Rd., Riverview (869-2007) on Wednesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9pm. A service will take place from Lower Coverdale Baptist Church on Thursday, May 8, 2014 at 1pm with Rev. Ken Rains officiating.
