Edward Ling
Edward "Beaver" Ling passed away suddenly at his home in Moose Jaw on Saturday, May 3, 2014 at the age of 70. He was predeceased by his parents Charles and Sarah, and by his infant brother William. He will be lovingly remembered by his sisters Anne Paul and Fran Brooks, and by his brothers Raymond (Val), Leonard (Loretta), John (Loretta), Rick (Elaine), Brian (Kayla), and Darrel, Ed's close friend Donna, as well as by numerous nieces, nephews and friends. Beaver was born in Moose Jaw on December 22, 1943 to Charles and Sarah Ling. He attended Prince Arthur and Moose Jaw Tech schools, after which he joined the military, The Queen’s Own Rifles, and served in Canada and Germany for five years. He worked in various warehousing jobs in Calgary prior to moving back to Moose Jaw in 1995. He worked as a commissionaire and retired in March 2014. He was involved with the Army-Navy-Air Force Vets, and was a familiar face at the Co-op Cafeteria. Beaver was passionate about his family and never missed a gathering or event. Memorial donations to the Moose Jaw Humane Society, 1755 Stadacona St W, Moose Jaw, SK, S6H 7K7 would be appreciated.
