Passed peacefully away at the Health Sciences Centre on May 3, 2014, Alfred Joseph Thomas (Junior), at the age of 81. Predeceased by parents Alfred and Stella, first wife Rita, brother George and sisters Mary and Phyllis. Leaving to mourn his loving wife Violet, sons Tony (Debbie), Shawn, Paul (Rita), daughters Rosalind (John) Doyle, Beverly (Leo) Hall, Bernice (Carl) Amminson, Judy (Wayne) Coffin, Gail (Dave) Hollett, Denice (Mike) Griffiths, Connie (John) McGrath, stepdaughters Janice (Peter) Ringrose, Rhonda (Frank) Hatcher, Lisa Fudge, Jennifer (Jonathan) Bessell, 32 grandchildren, and 13 great grandchildren, sisters Margaret Pomeroy, Bernice Thomas, Rose Patey, brothers-in-law- George (Winnie) Cave, James (Rosalind) Cave, Ross (Norma) Cave, sisters-in-law Lena Cave, Annie Cave, Ruby (Marvin) Leawood, two special aunts Rita Summers, and Rose Molloy, and many other relatives and friends. Resting at Carnell’s Funeral Home, 329 Freshwater Road on Monday, May 5th from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. and Tuesday, May 6th from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral service will be held at The Carnell Memorial Chapel on Wednesday, May 7th at 11 a.m. Interment to follow at Mount Pleasant Cemetery.
