The death occurred suddenly at the Prince County Hospital, Summerside, on Sunday, May 4, 2014, of George Eldon Kilbride of New Annan and formerly of St. Nicholas, aged 86 years. George was born on January 9, 1928, in Inverness, to his late parents John Henry and Laura May (nee MacDonald) Kilbride. Beloved husband of Eva (nee Gallant) Kilbride and loving father of Debbie Gallant (Rick) of Edmonton, AB., Eldon (Peggy) of Summerside, Anne-Marie Arsenault (Urban) of Kinkora, Gary (Leah) of Argyle Shore, Roy (Sheila) of Lot 16, and Lynn Nadeau (Clifford) of Enderby, B.C. Also lovingly remembered by his grandchildren Brandi, Cory, Derek, Amy, Chris and Colin, his great-grandchildren Trinity, Vienna, Prophacy and Iyla and several nieces and nephews. Survived by his sister Gertie Jeffery, brother-in-law Joe Fraser and sister-in-law Erma Kilbride all of Summerside. Besides his parents, George was predeceased by his sisters Eleanor in infancy, Mary MacKinnon (Ted), Lucy Mulligan (Greg) and Thresa Fraser, his brothers Edward, Wilfred (Alice Grant), Cecil and Sterling and his brother-in-law Leo Jeffery. Resting at the East Prince Funeral Home, 245 Pope Road, Summerside. By personal request, there will be no funeral service held. Interment will take place in St. Brigid’s Cemetery, Foxley River, at a later date. Memorial donations in George’s memory to the Canadian Cancer Society would be greatly appreciated.
