It is with broken hearts and profound sadness we announce the passing of Art (Arthur) Lyall Boisclair Jr. at the age of 65, of Mortlach and formerly of Moose Jaw on Sunday May 4, 2014 in Regina General Hospital, following a long a courageous battle with heart and lung disease. Art was born July 16, 1948 in Moose Jaw. He leaves to mourn the love of his life of 40 years Eunice (nee Seevers), and Art’s little dog Kipper; his children and grandkids who he absolutely adored: David (Penny), and their children, Dave Jr.(Kelly), great-granddaughter Brooklyn, Curtis, and Mellissa Boisclair; Michael (Shawna), Madison, and Mathew Boisclair; Leanne (Monty) and their daughter Kaitlynn Dalgliesh; Dusten Boisclair, Darren (Keseia) Gabriel, Conan, Harlow and baby to be Olivia Boisclair; sister Margaret Ann, brother-in-law Peter Wiebe; mother-in-law Bertha Seevers; brother-in-law Dennis (Colleen) Seevers; sister-in-law Alice (Ron) Grand; brother-in-law Alvin Seevers; lifelong friends Joe (Jackie) Farnel, Del (Bev) Anderson and Arnold (Betty) Miller. Art was very close to his nieces and nephews: Scott (Janice) Wiebe, Laurie (Steve); his God Son Jordan, Jessie and Allie Barnes; Jody (Terry), Michael, Stephanie, Brittanie Shortland; Brieanne, Prestley Belisle; Dave (Geraldine), Cody, Dalton, Amara, Keyara, Aiden, Alexis Wiebe; Krista (Jason), Logan and Sayde Hauser; Carrie Anne (Allan), Luke and Ryan Gillespie; and Art’s God Son Shane (Amanda) Grand; Uncle Don and Aunt Karel Boisclair; Uncle Al and Aunt Delores Miller; and Polly Boisclair; also many cherished cousins and friends. Art was predeceased by his son Lonny; his parents Art Sr. and Anne Boisclair; father-in-law George Seevers; grandparents Lyall and Mary McBride; grandmother Bertha Boisclair; and great-granddaughter Emma Boisclair. A Celebration of Art’s life will be held at W.J.Jones & Son Chapel on Friday May 9, 2014 at 3:30 pm. Reverend Doug Shepherd will officiate. Interment will take place at Rosedale Cemetery at a later date. In living memory of Art, a memorial planting will be made by W.J. Jones & Son Funeral Home.
