It is with great sadness that the family of the late CYRIL P. WARD of Spanish Room announces his passing at the Burin Peninsula Health Care Centre in Burin on Monday, May 5th, 2014, at the age of 84. Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories are: Wife, Carmelita of 45 years; Sisters-in-law, Bridget Ward of Marystown & Theresa Ward of Marystown; Special Nieces, Joanne (Greg Pittman) of Spanish Room, Mary (Fred) Mallay of Spanish Room & Gertie (Wayne) Hickey of Marystown; 1 Special Nephew, Harry (Mary) Ward of Marystown; Great-nieces, April (Jimmy) Miller of Marystown, Allison (Fabian) Grandy of Garnish & Heather Mallay of Marystown; Great-nephews, Jamie (Ashley) Hickey of Garnish, Bernard (Danielle) Hickey of Garnish, Joseph Pittman of Spanish Room, Michael Pittman of Spanish Room & Daniel Ward of Marystown; plus a large circle of relatives and friends. Predeceased by: Parents, Ambrose & Josephine Ward; Brothers, Joseph & John Ward.

The Mass of Christian Burial took place from Sacred Heart Roman Catholic Church in Marystown on Thursday, May 8th, at 2:00 p.m. Interment followed at St. John Bosco R. C. Cemetery in Spanish Room. In Cyril’s memory donations may be made to the Burin Peninsula Health Care Foundation or flowers gratefully accepted.
