The death occurred on February 22, 2014, at the Margaret Stewart Ellis Home, O’Leary, of Frances Porter Gaudet. She was in her 95th year. She is survived by her sister Susan Gaudet, St. Antoine, N.B., her niece Donna (James) Gaudet, Anglo Tignish, her nephew Larry Gaudet and his family in Toronto, and her son Reg Porter, Belle River. The funeral and burial will take place on Friday, May 9, at 2 p.m. at St. Simon and St. Jude Church, Tignish. Funeral arrangements are provided by West Prince Funeral Home, Palmer Road.
