With broken hearts, we announce the sudden passing of our beloved brother, uncle, granduncle and great-granduncle, George David Laidlaw, on Tuesday, January 14, 2014, at the Northwood Care Centre in Halifax.
Born in Sydney Mines on June 4, 1950, George was the son youngest of the late Lawrence and Jessica (Guy) Laidlaw.
He was predeceased by his brothers Douglas and James, and a sister Anne.
A celebration of George’s life will be held on Monday, May 12, 2014, at 11 a.m. in Trinity Anglican Church, Sydney Mines, with Rev. Stacey LeMoine officiating. The burial will be in Tobin Rd. Cemetery, Sydney Mines. His brother Lawrence and sisters Willena and Linda invite all friends and family members to a luncheon in Grandy Hall, following the interment.
