WEDGE, LAUDIA MARY - Laudia Wedge, a former resident of Sunbury Manor, passed away peacefully on May 8th, 2014 at the Oromocto Public Hospital. Born March 18th, 1923 in Pointe-Sapin, NB, she was the daughter of the late Martin and Priscilla (Babin) Robichaud and wife of the late Raymond Wedge. Laudia was an avid card player who loved a game of Canasta or 45s. She had been a member of the 55+ Seniors Group and a volunteer at the Oromocto Public Hospital, but most of all was a devoted loving mother. Laudia will be missed by her children, Priscilla Scott (Harry) of Rusagonis, NB, Raymond Wedge (Sheila) of Bellevue, Nebraska, Guy Wedge (Euforncia) of Calgary, AB, Claudette Brochu of Rusagonis, NB and Joanne Barnes (David) of Ashley, Illinois; 16 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; one sister, Delima Robichaud-Taylor of Montreal and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. She was predeceased by her parents; her husband, Raymond; her son, Patrick Wedge; seven sisters and three brothers.
Visitation will be held at the Oromocto Funeral Home on Monday, May 12th, 2014 from 3 to 6 pm. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday, May 13th, 2014 at 11:00 am at St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church with Fr. Ken Weir as celebrant. Interment will take place in the adjoining cemetery.
