Maisie Grimsley (nee House) Patey
It is with great sadness that the families of Maisie G. Patey (nee House) of River of Ponds announces her passing at the Western Memorial Regional Hospital in Corner Brook on Monday, April 28, 2014 at the age of 89 years. Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories her children: Emma (Claude), Christine, Derek (Selma), Daisy (Francis), and Sadie; grandchildren: Greg, Shawn, Glenda, Tony, Betty, Larry, Trinda, Robin, Pamela, Fabian, Trustin, Bobbi and Jo; great-grandchildren: Krista, Aaron, Kegan, Kayla, Allison, Crystal-Lynn, Brandon, Hillary, Hailee, Ryan, Clarissa, Bruce, Alliyah, Richie, Luke, Andrew, and Savannah; sister Bessie; son-in-law Harvey; sisters- in-law Bertha, Marjorie, Hepsey, Evangeline, Mary and Marie (Hebbert); brothers-in-law Austin (Edith), Joseph (Serena), and Lewis (Linda). Also leaving to mourn a large number of nieces, nephews, other relatives, family and friends. She was predeceased by her husbands Amos and Harrison, son Llewellyn, daughter Faye, parents Allen and Joanna House, brothers Stephen, Percy, Samuel, Garfield and Chesley, sisters Bethiah, Elizabeth and Ida. Visitation took place at St. Peter’s Anglican Church in River of Ponds from where the funeral service was held on Friday, May 2 at 2 p.m. with Rev. Canon Paulette Bugden officiating with the burial at the family plot at St. Peter’s Anglican Church Cemetery in River of Ponds. Funeral arrangements were entrusted to Parsons Funeral Home and Chapel, 63 North Main Street, Deer Lake.
