It is with deep sadness that we must announce the passing of Wanita Lewis, age 95, of Leamington, who passed away peacefully at High Crest Nursing Home, Springhill on Tuesday, April 29, 2014.
Born in New Canaan, NS, she was a daughter of the late Percy and Laura (Wright) Fife.
She was an adherent of the Mapleton United Church and a member of Pythian Star Temple # 8, Pythian Sisters. She loved animals, especially her dog Bengie. In her younger days she always looked forward to blueberry season. She had a wonderful spirit, and kept her sense of humor right up to the end.
She will be sadly missed by her grandson, Wesley (Petra) Reynolds, Lakeville, NB; brother, Russell (Justine), New Canaan; several nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her husband, Harold Russell Lewis; daughter, Norma Reynolds; son in law Frank Reynolds; brothers, Lawrence and Donald; sisters, Lavenia and Grace.
Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to A H Brown Funeral Home, 5 McFarlane Street, Springhill, (902 597 2361) where visitation will be held on Wednesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm. Funeral service held on Thursday, May 1, 2014 at 2 pm from the Funeral Home. Burial in Mapleton Cemetery.
