BRUN, MARIE LAURE (RICHARD) - Marie Laure (Richard) Brun, of Villa Providence in Shediac, formerly of Moncton and Dieppe, passed away on Friday May 9, 2014 at the Dr. Georges-L.-Dumont UHC. Born in Saint-Charles, she was the daughter of the late Jean and Elise (Robichaud) Richard. A very devoted homemaker with strong religious values, Marie Laure was an exceptional foster mother to many children. She loved gardening, flowers and interior decorating.
She is survived by a special foster daughter, Jacqueline “Jackie” LeBlanc of Dieppe; a respectful foster son, Roger LeBlanc (Charline) of Dieppe; one sister, Ozélie Chavarie of Dieppe; several nieces, nephews and godchildren. She was predeceased by her true love for all eternity, her husband, Eugene; two sisters: Mina Blanchard and Emelda (Symida) Brun; four brothers: Joseph, Auguste, François and André; a special very devoted niece, Alma Daigle. The family wishes to express their sincere gratitude towards her nieces, Thérèse Boudreau for her kindness, support and sincere dedication, and to the late Alma Daigle for her heartfelt devotions, as well as to the staff and doctors of Résidence du Marais in Dieppe, the Villa Providence in Shédiac and the Dr. Georges-L.-Dumont UHC 3A Unit for their wonderful care provided to Marie Laure.
In accordance with her wishes, there will be no viewing. The funeral service will be celebrated at Frenette Funeral Centre, 88 Church Street, Moncton (858-1900) on Monday May 12, 2014 at 11 am with Father Jean-Guy Dallaire officiating. The eulogy will be given by her son Roger LeBlanc. A reception will follow at the centre. Interment will be in Our Lady of Calvary cemetery, Dieppe. In memory of Marie Laure, a contribution to the Alzheimer Society, the CHU Dumont Foundation or the Tree of Hope would be appreciated.
