BURKITT, Colleen
It is with great sadness that we announce the unexpected passing of Colleen Mary Burkitt of St. Paul, AB, formerly of Stewart Valley, SK. on May 1, 2014 at the age of 56 years. She is survived by her loving companion, Emile Senecal; children, Riley Campbell (Kye Dolter) & Brady Campbell (Fallon Rohrich) both of Swift Current & Hailey Campbell of Regina.; mother, Margaret Burkitt of Watrous; 3 sisters, Maureen (Les) Gartner of Watrous, Lynn (Bob) Freundl of Medicine Hat, AB & Lori (Greg) Meddins of Young; nieces, Lacey Meddins (Craig Anderson) & Marcie Halyk (Ryan); numerous great-nieces & nephews. She was predeceased by her dad, Lewis. Colleen was very passionate about her career as a registered nurse in which she practiced for over 30 years, taking her to various locations throughout Saskatchewan & Northern Alberta. Her hobbies included curling, hunting & fishing with Emile. She enjoyed traveling, canning with her daughter, Hailey & most importantly spending time with her family and friends. She will be greatly missed. Cremation has taken place and a Family Memorial Service will be held at a later date in Watrous.
