Edmund Christmas, 59 of Membertou, passed peacefully away on Saturday, May 10, 2014 at the Cape Breton Regional Hospital, Sydney, with his family and friends by his side.
Edmund was the son of the late Victor and Isabel (Marshall) Christmas.
Dooley was a very hard worker who worked as a grounds keeper in Membertou up until his illness. Without a doubt, Dooley was the Boston Bruins greatest fan.
Left to mourn is his loving companion Ann Marie MacNeil; sons Shawn David, Membertou; Jonnigan, Eskasoni; his loving grandchildren; brothers Leonard and Edward, both of Membertou; godchildren Shelly Paul, Donovan Joe and Hunter Copage; his beloved aunt Viola Christmas, and by his uncle Peter Christmas Sr. and a large number of nieces, nephews and cousins, all of Membertou.
He was predeceased by his sisters Mabel and Pauline both in infancy, his son Edmund, his sister Lillian and brother-in-law Danny MacGillivary and brother Ben.
Visitation for the late Edmund Christmas will begin after 7 p.m. today (Tuesday) at 10 L’Nu Avenue, Membertou. Funeral mass will be celebrated on Thursday at 10:30 a.m. at St. Anthony Daniel Church with Fr. Bill Burke officiating. Internment in Membertou Memorial Gardens.
