MADDEN, Mavis — Passed peacefully away on Sunday, December 21, 2008 at the Health Sciences Centre in St. John’s, Mavis Madden, age 70 years. Predeceased by her mother Frances Williams (nee Howlett), father Walter Williams, Marjorie Myers, Richard Williams, Mary Madden, John Madden and Diane Madden. Left with fond and loving memories, her loving and devoted husband of 50 years Bernard; daughter, Marjorie (John) and son, Ken; grandchildren: Colin, Janelle and Celina. Also leaving to mourn sister Mildred Chafe (Daniel), brother Leonard and special sister-in-law Mary Williams, Edward (Gen), Pierre (Jo) and Maxwell (Philomena); brother-in-law Gerald (Marg) Madden, sisters-in-law: Elizabeth Cole (Bill), Carmel O’Mara (Tom) and Maureen Rouleau (Ed) and a large circle of nieces, nephews, grand-nieces and nephews and many many friends around the world especially Arlette Sloan in Hamilton, Ontario. Resting at Caul’s Funeral Home, LeMarchant Road on Monday from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. and on Tuesday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. and 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. Mass of Christian burial to take place on Wednesday, December 24 at 10 a.m. from St. Kevin’s Church, Goulds, with interment to follow in the Roman Catholic Cemetery, Goulds No flowers by request, donations in her memory may be made to Daffodil Place.
