WESTVILLE – Dylan James Gerrior, 17, Westville, a gifted student with a brilliant future, passed away on Saturday, May 10, 2014.
Born in New Glasgow, he was the son of Perry Edward Gerrior and Alison Carol (Patton) Gerrior.
Dylan was a Grade 12 student in the International Baccalaureate program at Northumberland Regional High School, Alma. He possessed a gentle kindness that was displayed by his interactions with others, especially his ability to tutor and help other students. Dylan was an avid gamer, who also enjoyed time spent around a campfire with his friends. His brilliant light will shine in the hearts of those he loved and who loved him – forever.
Besides his parents, Perry and Alison, he is survived by his maternal grandfather, Robert (Pauline) Patton, Stellarton; paternal grandparents, Francis and Carolyn (Lafferty) Gerrior, Trenton; many aunts, uncles and cousins.
He was predeceased by his maternal grandmother, Judy (Gay) Patton.
The family will receive visitors 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Thursday in P. & K. MacDonald Funeral Home, New Glasgow from where funeral service will be held 4 p.m. Friday in the chapel with Rev. Dr. Glen Matheson officiating. Interment will be in Christ the King Cemetery, Trenton with a reception to follow in the Trenton Rink Annex, Park Street, Trenton.
Donations may be made in Dylan’s memory to the International Baccalaureate program at Northumberland Regional High School.
