In loving memory of

MAG McCARTHY

who passed away May 26, 2009.

She stood in that window to watch for us,
Anxious if we were late,
At times so happy and free of fear,
She would cry with happiness and relief that we were safe.

And though we mocked her tenderly,
Who had such foolish care,
The long way home would seem more safe,
Because she waited there.

Her thoughts were only of family,
She never could forget,
And so I think that where she is,
She must be watching yet.

Her absence in the window watching for us,
Have our hearts and us anxious in anguish,
But those feelings are a small price to pay,
For the love she gave us.

Until we meet again.
