Elizabeth Joann Noseworthy (Hussey)
Date de décès : 13 mai 2014
August 14, 1942 - May 13, 2014 - We, with broken hearts, announce the peaceful passing of Elizabeth at the Miller Center, St. John's on May 13, 2014. Elizabeth was a devoted mother and wife, and a devoted employee of the Seniors Resource Centre where she coordinated the Mall Walkers Program, and was also involved in other programs including Friday Friendship and Seniors Bridging Cultures. Through her work there she met many wonderful people and made life long special friends. She was a devoted friend to those to whom she befriended. She suffered the worst a mother could ever endure upon the death of her son Dan, yet she somehow managed to move forward to enjoy the gift of her adored grandson, Kevin. Elizabeth was a strong, modern lady who always spoke her mind in the most calm and understanding way. In between working and volunteering she taught Ball Room Dancing and Belly Dancing. Elizabeth is predeceased by her son Daniel (Dan), parents Sandy and Mary (Mullins) Hussey, mother Charlotte (Mullins, McAbee) Billiard, parents in-law Edgar (Eddie) and Olive (Bugden) Noseworthy, grandmothers Lucy Ann (Lace) Mullins of Port Aux Basque, Phoebe Hussey of Port de Grave, sisters in-law Lois (Fey) Bowering and Jean King, brother in-law Bill Fey, Richard Noseworthy, Garfield Janes and Frank King. Left to mourn: her loving husband Doug, sons Craig and Jason, daughter Carmen, grandson Kevin O'Connor and his mother Patricia. Brother Joe McAbee, half brother Brad McAbee (Joyce), half sister Jean Connolly, brothers in-law Ed (Daphne), John (Mary) and Baxter Bowering. Sisters in-law Suzanne Janes, Judy Ashley (Ken), Peggy Parrott (Bob), her loving friends from the BB's, Janice, Jill, Kim, Clarice, Lisa and Cathy. A special thank you to Ruth, Carol, and Edwin who got her to chemo and doctor's appointments, and dear friend Val McAbee. Also, a large circle of aunts, uncles, cousins, nephews, nieces and friends. Cremation has taken place. A funeral service in celebration of her life will be held at The Carnell Memorial Chapel at a later date to be announced. Donations in her memory can be made to the Dr. H. Bliss Murphy Cancer Care Foundation. To send a message of condolence or to sign the memorial guest book, please visit www.carnells.com.
