It is with great sadness that the family of the late Pearl Higdon announce her passing at the Western Memorial Regional Hospital on Thursday May 15, 2014 at the age of 87 years. She leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories children: Dora White (Eric), Beatrice Stanley (Gordon), Clarence Higdon (Glenda), Ruby Moss (Wade), Stanley Higdon (Debbie), Joy MacDonald (Joe), and David Higdon (Sharon); grandchildren: Bonnie Urbenz (Martin), Wade White (Tammy), Chad Higdon (Brandy), Tara Babenek, Alisha Higdon, Stephen Moss (Melanie), Paul Moss (Riley), Jeffrey Moss (Shelley), Heather Williams (Brad), Deborah Lear (Norman), Adam Higdon (Erin), Peter Higdon (Angie), Sarah Higdon (Brian Bell), Jamie MacDonald (Connie Kennedy), Janesta MacDonald (David Pennell), Matthew Higdon and Brittany Higdon; 31 great-grandchildren; sisters: Sue Hodges and Dorothy Brake; brother Baxter Lockyer (Joan), as well as a large circle of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She is predeceased by husband Clarence; parents Benjamin and Ellen Beatrice Lockyer; brothers: Robert and Arch; sisters: Monie Penny, Dora Lockyer, Minnie Perrier, and Maude Brindle. She will be missed by the staff and residents at the Mountain View Estates. Friends may visit Country Haven Funeral Home, 167 Country Road on Friday and Saturday between the hours of 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. Funeral service will take place on Sunday May 18, 2014 at 2:00 p.m. from First Pentecostal Church, Premier Drive, with Pastor Larry Soper officiating. Interment will follow from Mt. Patricia Cemetery. As expressions of sympathy, flowers are graciously accepted or donations may be made to the Forget Me Not Campaign.
