It is with great sadness that the family of the late David Whalen announce his passing at the Western Memorial Regional Hospital in Corner Brook on Thursday, May 15th, 2014 at the age of 58 years. He will be sadly missed by his wife Joanne, one son David Jr., one daughter April (A.J.) all in Alberta. Also leaving to mourn are his two brothers Maxwell (Judy), Michael, all in St. Teresa’s, three sisters Sandra (Jerome) in Labrador, Geraldine (Garfield), Sylvia in Humber Valley. His ten grandchildren Jason, Danika, Logan, Leelan, Amber, Alicia, Amy, Kevin James, Alexander, David Jr. and many nieces, nephews relatives and friends. He was predeceased by his son Kevin, his parents Cecilia and Gerald, his brother Eric and sisters Coreen and Melita. Visitation will take place on Saturday, May 17th, 2014 from 2-4 and 7-9 from Russell’s Funeral Home in Stephenville. Cremation to follow with funeral to take place at St. Anne’s Church in Flat Bay on Monday, May 19th, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. with interment in the Roman Catholic Cemetery in St. Teresa’s.
