It is with great sadness that the family of the late Ellen Gould of Port au Choix announces her passing on Sunday, May 11, 2014 at Rufus Guinchard Health Centre in Port Saunders at the age of 76 years. She leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories her children: Lorena (Frank), Corner Brook, "Bud" Raymond Jr., Port au Choix, "Bonnie" Yvonne, Port au Choix, Rhonda (Henry), Port au Choix, Iris (Todd), Gallants, Eddie (Liga), Port au Choix, Billy (Kim), Port au Choix, Scott (Karen), Port au Choix, Anna (Mitch), Fox Creek, New Brunswick and Elizabeth, Port au Choix; 25 grandchildren and 32 great-grandchildren; sisters and brothers: Mary, Kelligrews, Eileen (Doug), Gander, William "Rol", Ontario, Jerome (Noreen), Port au Choix and Susan (John), Port au Choix; as well as a large circle of sisters and brothers-in-law; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She was predeceased by her husband Raymond, son Norman, grandchildren Alix and Trevor, son-in-law Dr. Bob Ploughman, parents Dominic and Amy Jane Scanlon, brothers Leo and Edward, sisters Elsie, Alma and Betty, parents-in-law Leo and Charlotte Gould. Visitation took place at Fillatre's Funeral Home, Port au Choix on Tuesday and Wednesday and continued at St. Theresa's Roman Catholic Church, Port au Choix on Wednesday, from where the funeral service was held on Thursday, May 15 at 11 a.m. with Father Gabriel officiating. Interment followed at the Interfaith Cemetery, Sandy Cove. As expressions of sympathy, flowers graciously accepted. Funeral arrangements were entrusted to Fillatre’s Funeral Home, Port au Choix.
