It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden passing of our dear husband, father, poppy and friend, William Claude Taylor on May 5, 2014, while cruising the Caribbean aboard the biggest cruise ship in the world, Oasis of the Seas. Doing what he loved best, sharing a drink in good company and telling a story, Claude, aged 66 years, passed after living a life that was full of cherished family and friends. His contentment with the simple things - a Sunday drive, a feed of salt fish, and an afternoon nap - are among those that will be remembered with humor as we mourn his loss and preserve his memory. Predeceased by parents: William and Alice Taylor (nee Bennett); his sister Lillian Osbourne. Claude is survived by his wife Lorraine (nee Neil); daughters, Lynn (Michael) and Krista (Travis); grandchildren: Claire, Jaxson and Nora; brothers: Harvey (Fran) and Eugene (Bertha); brothers-in-law: Nath Osbourne, Allan (Lorraine), Kevin (Marie) Gary (Darlene); nieces, nephews, as well as many other beloved relatives and friends. Resting at Moore's Funeral Home, Clarke's Beach with visitation on Saturday 2 - 5 PM: 7 - 9 PM. Funeral Service to take place on Sunday: May 18, 2014 at 2:00 PM from Anglican Parish of the Resurrection, South River. Cremation has taken place with inurnment at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations in his memory may be made to a charity of one's choice.
